About
Be creative, original, and different. Don’t be someone else, that person’s already taken.
Hello, my name is Erika and I am a “creative”. What is a “creative” you’d say? To me, creativity means looking at things from a different perspective or doing something in a different way. When creating something new, I also tend to play “devil’s advocate”. I need to think through all the “what ifs” before I can form a final opinion. The thing is, I like to create things, and I am proud of it.
I got a BA in Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Web Development and yada, yada, yada, but who’s keeping track? I started my career with Direct Mail Marketing designing print pieces. I later transitioned into web design and development for Digital Marketing, promoting businesses and their products using online channels such as websites, landing pages, and social media. I’ve learned how social media, search engines, websites, and online advertisements can generate sales leads, increase traffic, and build brand awareness. By combining creativity, social advertising, and data analysis I could help businesses optimize their online presence.
I’ve been working at Agency level for the past 10 years, wearing “many hats”. Aside from my main “hats” as Front-End Developer or Web Designer, I have experience in UX/UI, project planning, and team management. I can interact with all levels of an organization as well as agencies and subcontractors.
I’ve participated as Senior Front-End Developer on numerous web projects for companies such as MasterCraft Builder Group, Oceans234, Kaycha Labs, Total Cleaning, Gold Coast Dermatology, and more.
In my free time, I love to travel. I’m a geek for unknown lands, their ancient cities, and museums and learning everything about their culture and history. I also like to draw, paint, and sew, usually clothes for my daughter’s dolls, repurpose old furniture probably hauled from the nearest dumpster, and redesign every room in my house. Over and over. Yeah, my husband has a long honey-do list.
